We, the undersigned citizens of California, hereby petition the State Legislature to enact a law that will require the immediate dissolution of any political party whose platform has previously advocated for or supported the January 6th Insurrection. This petition outlines the following terms for the proposed legislation:

1. Immediate Cancellation of Filings: The law shall require California officials to immediately cancel the filings of any political party that has supported or endorsed the January 6^th, 2021 Insurrection.
2. Notification of Registered Voters: The State of California shall notify all registered voters belonging to any political party that has been canceled, informing them that their party no longer exists.
3. Change in Voter Registration: Voter registrations for individuals associated with canceled parties will be automatically changed to “No Party Affiliation” to ensure that voters are correctly represented in future elections.
4. Procedures for Updating Affiliation: The law will provide clear procedures and avenues for those voters to update their political affiliations to “an active political party” of their choice.
5. Re-registration of Canceled Parties: Any political party that has been canceled will have the ability to re-register with the State of California only under the condition that the new name is substantially different from the name of any previously registered party.

By implementing this law, we aim to uphold the democratic principles of our state and ensure that political parties committed to insurrection and divisiveness do not undermine the values of California’s diverse population.
