We Are Californians
Sean Forbes, Chair
Sean Forbes has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. He lives and works in Long Beach, California, and Ojima, Japan, in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. He is a published author of several books, a journalist, and a producer of several short films.
Yvonne Hargrove, Vice-Chair
Yvonne was previously Secretary/Communications Director for the San Francisco Bay Area regional chapter of the California National Party. A transplant from Alabama, she has lived in San Francisco for 20 years and has spent the last 15 working in the nonprofit sector. She has been registered with the CNP since 2017, and in her personal time she enjoys getting out into nature, seeing live music and exploring California!
David Lescure, Secretary
A fourth-generation Californian with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from UC Davis. Registered member of the CNP since 2018, but a lifelong supporter of an independent California. David has previously assisted with the Loebs campaign, the CNP website, and most recently coordinated the CNP contingent at SF Pride.
Lyra Porcasi, Treasurer
Lyra is a Math and Science teacher of 20 years, novelist, environmental chemistry researcher, and a minister of the Universal Life Church. She was born in Los Angeles, a third-generation California native of Italian and Polish descent. She currently lives in the suburbs north of LA, raising two daughters and three cats. Having previously been registered as independent, she became a member of the CNP immediately upon discovering the potential for future secession, after the demonstration of unadulterated fraud that was the 2016 election.
Bill Skog, Chapter Coordinator – North CA
Bill was born and raised in New Hampshire and came to California a decade ago. He is currently a stay-at-home dad as well as a non-profit instructor of chess to children and volunteers with various political organizations and campaigns. He spent his 20’s in the field of radio and now hosts the Free the Bear and Last Exit on the Left podcasts on California independence.
Select Chloe Caldasso, Chapter Coordinator – South CA
Chloé is a Los Angeles native with a background in clinical research, film/television, and social media management. The daughter of a Brazilian immigrant–with a history of activism and opposing anti-worker action–she has dedicated herself to taking a stand against all forms of oppression and exploitation. Through her work with the CNP, she hopes to do her part in globally uniting people into solidarity and action–as it is quite well-known that the best journeys always begin at your own doorstep.
Theo Slater, External Communications Coordinator
Theo is an attorney who lives in Sacramento and practices law across California. He served as the Party’s first Chairperson up until July 2019. He helped found the CNP out of a desire to create a party focused on building an ever stronger and more independent California – not serving the interests of billionaire donors. Theo is committed to building an organization that can serve, empower, and represent all of California’s many and diverse communities.
